To be honest, I wasn’t very impressed with the Jimmyjane Form 3, at first. It’s taken me a while to get this review out because I just couldn’t find a way to use it in the way I wanted. There was definitely a lot of experimenting.

The Form 3 is a nice little vibrator with lots of usage options, but I really wanted to find a way to use it that would just get me off quickly instead of tease me.

Methods for Me to Get Off (75% rate of success):

• Use the very tip of the touchpad lightly against my clit
• Grind my clit against the bulbous base

Honestly, I see the Form 3 as more of a foreplay vibrator; something to get the juices flowing, but not enough to routinely orgasm from it. Other than those two, it’s really just better to use the Form 3 for teasing. If I try any other method to try to achieve orgasm, it’s just frustrating. I’m a girl who wants an orgasm fast. That means I want pressure and strong vibes. The problem I have with the Form 3 is getting the pressure I want without losing the intensity of the vibes. It seems like the intensity is muted by about 1/3 if I try to press the Form 3 into me.

Flexibility: The Form 3 has a flexible touchpad to allow the user to feel a moving finger through it. It’s fairly tough, so there shouldn’t be any issues in the long run with durability. You’d have to have fairly sharp nails and really jab them into the membrane in order to puncture it. Your nail would probably snap before you break through the membrane, though.

Although it does feel like a tongue with the aid of some personal lubricant, doing this does not achieve focused vibration. If anything, I feel the vibrations less when pressing my finger into the touchpad. After watching the video from Jimmyjane about the Form 3, not being able to feel the vibrations as well when pressing the touchpad was a disappointment.

Vibrations: There are 4 vibration modes:

• Constant vibration
• Escalating pattern
• Faster escalating pattern (sort of like a rollercoaster)
• Pulsing pattern

Those vibration modes can be customized with 5 power levels. I generally go for level 4 or 5 power and use the constant mode or pulsing mode. I like a strong vibe, but that might be too strong for some to use for direct clitoral stimulation. Really the first level of vibration started out stronger than I thought it would. Depending on how you use the Form 3, the vibes are about a 3/5-4/5.

Whatever mode the Form 3 is in when you turn it off, that will be the pattern it starts up with next time. So, if you have a favorite pattern, you don’t have to shuffle through them every time you turn it on just to get to your favorite.

Noise: It’s fairly quite, but it does have a digital motor that makes it sound a little more high-pitched that a regular vibrator. On the highest power level, I can’t hear it against the exhaust fan in the bathroom (sneaky after shower play!), but I can hear the lowest setting under the covers of my bed. The Form 3 is not a toy I would use in bed next to hubby, if I got the midnight hornies. It is quiet, but not quiet enough to where I’d feel safe enough that he wouldn’t catch me.

Possible Usage Options Suggested by Jimmyjane:

For Her:

• Cradle Form 3 in the palm and extend the Touchpad with your finger or fingers, then stroke the clitoris, labia or other pleasurable spots.
  • Using the entire touchpad to lap at my lubricated clit and labia like a tongue does feel good, but it’s more of a tease to me.
• Use the tip or lip of Form 3 to apply strong, targeted vibration to the clitoris.
  • One of the few ways I can orgasm by using the Form 3. It has to be just touching my clit to get a good vibration. If I try to press it against my clit at all, the sensations from the vibrations dulls. 
• Hold Form 3 so that the underside of the indented Touchpad lays flat across the clitoris, or flip it over (so the controls face the body) and use it to cup the area around the clitoris for a “suction” sensation.
  • Tried it, and can not achieve this “suction” sensation.
• Slide Form 3 sideways between the labia to stimulate multiple areas at once. 
  • A nice tease to stimulate the inner walls and labia. It definitely feels good to slide it in after teasing my clit.

For Us:

• Add water-based lubricant to Form 3  for a “vibrating tongue” sensation.
  • I highly recommend doing this. It may just be teasing, but I do like this. It’s nice for hubby, too, but the Form 3 as a tongue doesn’t have the same dexterity that my own has.
• Take turns during foreplay – hold Form 3 in the palm, then extend the Touchpad with the finger, using it to stroke the penis, testicles or perineum on him; the clitoris and labia on her.
  • Ok, I’m not going to lie. We have not used the Form 3 for foreplay like this. There’s barely ever any foreplay with us. This isn’t because he skips it, but because we can never wait to just go at it. I don’t think we’ve ever been able to slow it down to let’s-make-love mode.
• Cradle Form 3 in the palm and cup the Touchpad around the testicles or penis (for him) or the clitoris (for her).
  • Cupping the touchpad around my clit doesn’t do much for me. Cupping it around his bits doesn’t seem to do much either.
• Stroke the perineum with the Touchpad or let the lip vibrate freely against it.
  • It was easier to just turn the Form 3 sideways to use it for this. Using the Form 3 to stimulate hubby’s perineum and and anus during oral sex is much easier than trying to suck him and thrust my finger up his tush at the same time. I always lose the rhythm somehow, if I do that.
• Hold Form 3 between your bodies during sex so that the lip vibrates against her clitoris and his penis at the same time.
  • Yes, you can use it during sex. However, that bulbous base may press into you depending on what position position you’re in and how heavily your mate is weighing against you. I’m not too impressed with the sensations this way.

Packaging: The Form 3 comes in a tastefully done box that’s about a foot long. Inside, the Form 3 is cradled in white plastic. Inside are also the charging base, adapter, and instruction manual.

Since the Form 3 was designed to be stored on the charging base, Jimmyjane did not bother to make the packaging reusable as a storage box. I know some companies such as Je Joue do this with higher-end sex toys.

Also, although the package does state that the Form 3 is travel-ready, it would have been nice to include various outlet converters for the plug like Je Joue includes with the SaSi. Only then would I truly consider it “travel-ready”.

Charging: The Form 3 takes 2 hours to fully charge. Before the first use, it’s recommended to allow the Form 3 to charge for a full 8 hours. For each 2 hour charge, the Form 3 should be able to run up to about 7 hours. Just nestle it in the charger on it’s stainless steel base and let it charge away. You don’t have to worry about overcharging the Form 3. It can’t happen.

How do you know when it needs to be charged?
When you lift Form 3 from the charging base, its light will illuminate to indicate battery level.

• 3 blinks – high charge
• 2 blinks – medium charge
• 1 blink – low charge
• 4 slow flashes – zero charge

Storage: Jimmyjane recommends that the Form 3 be stored on it’s charging base to keep it at the perfect charge for optimal use.  The base is universal and can be used with the Form 2, Form 3, and the Form 4 (not yet released). The only thing I don’t like about storing the Form 3 on it’s charging base is that it’s left out in the open to collect dust.

Cleaning: I generally wash mine in warm water and mild soap. You could wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution or toy cleaner. Just make sure it’s completely dry before returning it to the charging base.

Water-proof: You can completely submerse the Form 3 with no problems. I love this. It makes it completely worry-free when I’m trying to wash the Form 3. No freaking out and worrying if I got water in the battery compartment.

Rating: Honestly, I’m not sure what to rate it. I feel like I’m still learning how to use the Form 3. It has a wide variety of options for use, good vibes, and a decent number of patterns. I really wanted something I could get off quickly with, though. A lot of the time, I don’t have the patience to play around and tease myself with the Form 3. The only couple of ways I can get off with only work for me about 75% of the time. If you really want something to play with and experiment with, the Form 3 is great. If you want to get off quickly with it, you may want to look elsewhere.
