Blossom Organics was founded due to the pursuit of healthy well-being, beautiful intimacy and blissful pleasure. The company strives to provide safe products and does a very nice job at educating the public about was is and what isn’t safe in the products we regularly use. Unlike most companies, they publish their ingredients as a list with the safety information next to them. There is nothing more comforting than a company that wants to be open and honest with it’s customers.
To show their concern for public safety when it comes to lube choice, Blossom Organics had a promotion going in which you’d tell them what toxic ingredients you had found out about your current lube that you’re getting rid of. In exchange, they’d send out a nice little 1FL OZ. tube of their Natural Moisturizing Lubricant for you to try out. I love that it came in a fairly large tube and not just a tiny lube packet.
The Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant is pH-balanced to mimic a woman’s natural chemistry. If the pH balance of a woman’s vagina goes off-kilter, there’s a good chance of developing a yeast infection or other issues. For those of you who are prone to these types of infections, lubricants that are pH-balanced are a must. Another bonus is that it contains no parabens, petrochemicals, silicones, glycerin, alcohol, hormones, pesticides, artificial dyes, flavorings or fragrances. So, in a nutshell, the Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant is a good choice even for those who are very sensitive. No matter what your sensitivity, you shouldn’t have any problems with this lube.
Consistency: Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant isn’t too thick and it isn’t too thin. It won’t run when it’s on, but it doesn’t necessarily coat sex toys as well as other lubes. Babelube Natural (click to read review) definitely puts a thicker layer of lube on my sex toys.
Duration: Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant lasts a fair amount of time. Hubby and I haven’t had any need to reapply during our romps. Also, I have rather long sessions with my sex toys sometimes, and I didn’t need to reapply it. Do keep in mind that my own juices mingle with it and keep it hydrated. If water-based lube starts to dry out, just apply a little water to it or even lick it. This keeps you slick and prevents you from wasting lube and money.
Anal Use: Personally, this lube just isn’t thick enough for me to use it for anal. I prefer a thicker lube like Sliquid Sassy Booty Formula (click to read review) or Babelube Natural (click to read review) for that.
Ingredients: organic aloe barbadensis leaf extract, sorbitol, hydroxyethylcellulose, hyaluronic acid, organic stevia rebaudiana extract, tocopherol (vitamin E), sodium citrate, potassium sorbate, organic extracts of paeonia albiflora (peony) root, and passiflora incarnata flower
Base: water-based
Latex-Safe: Yes.
Compatible with all sex toys.
Scent: The Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant has no scent to it.
Taste: I’m not sure. It’s sort of flowery/vaguely spearmint, and sweet due to the stevia. The taste is very light and, personally, I like it.
Residue: No residue was left. The Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant does get slightly tacky as it dries, but it wasn’t tacky when it dried completely. While testing it on the back of my hand, it left my skin soft and hydrated. I need some Blossom Organics lotion!
Stains: I haven’t had any issues with stains.
Packaging: Comes in a squeeze tube with a flippy hinge top.
Expiration Date? It would be nice if the Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant had an expiration date printed on it, but few personal lubricants actually do. The only thing it has is a lot number embossed on the crimp.
Rating: 5/5 It’s a wonderful lube, and I feel safe using it. I’m really starting to phase out my other lubes that have become iffy in the ingredient safety department in my eyes, so it’s nice to have found the Blossom Organics line.
FTC Statement: True Pleasures received the Blossom Organics Natural Moisturizing Lubricant for free during a promotional even held by Blossom Organics.
